In our society it is seen as normal to over work, over tax, and not give ourselves time to recoup and heal.
If we don't make time in our day for self care we develop pain, anxiety, stress, and eventually burn out and disease. I see clients in my practice all the time that have been spending so much time on the go, trying to will everything to just be OK that they are like a brick wall of muscle that can not slow down and can not relax. My goal is to help people relearn how to take time for themselves so they can enjoy life and their loved ones.
It's time that we start prioritizing ourselves and our self care. This involves making time for breathing, stretching, body work, exercise, and committing to being mindful of who we our and why we respond the way we do to different situations. If we start making our health more important then our jobs or the numerous daily activities we take on we can start to see the world in a brighter more friendly light.
